Ogimachisanjo Sanetomi (正親町三条実福)

Sanetomi OGIMACHISANJO (1536 - March 3) was a Kugyo (top court official) during the late Muromachi period. He was a retainer of the Imperial Court who served two generations: Emperor Gonara (105th) and Emperor Ogimachi (106th), and his highest official court rank was Junii (Junior Second Rank), Gon Chunagon (a provisional vice-councilor of state). His father was Naidaijin (Minister of the Interior) Kine OGIMACHISANJO. His mother was the daughter of a certain Fujiwara in Kaga no suke (Assistant governor of Kaga Province) (said to be from the Togashi clan). He had a child Gon Chunagon Kiminaka OGIMACHISANJO.

He was ennobled in 1540. After that, he was promoted successively to jiju (chamberlain), Echizen no suke (Assistant Governor of Echizen Province), Ukone no shosho (Minor Captain of the Right Division of Inner Palace Guards), and Owari no Gon no suke (Provisional Assistant Governor of Owari Province), and finally became Sangi in 1557 to rank with Kugyo. He went to Kai Province in 1558, but returned to Kyoto during the following year. He was assigned to Gon Chunagon in 1562. He went to Suruga Province in 1565. He returned to Kyoto the following year, but in 1567, he was punished on the Imperial orders of Emperor Ogimachi and confined to his home. He died the following year. Died at the age of 33.
